In spite of his intimidating frame, he is really a kind, caring and very intelligent gentleman, but a times, he tends to be bit temperamental because of his traumatic past. [...] During the storm a the Vancouver power plant when Quentin was trying to rescue his dying mother from an electric shock, he was suddenly struck by a kilovolt lightning while accidentally touched thru the live wires in which he got electrocuted to his near death. At the same time, the unusually configured magnetic field had been generated by the wound spool of cable and live, high-tension wires induced a body-wide mutagenic change to his nervous system. When he woke up in the hospital a day later, though, he survived, but instead he wound up becoming a living capacitor made thru his muscle contractions and as well as his enhanced physical condition to superhuman level.
