Description

(The Elder Scrolls vs DC)

Core Theme:

Extremely powerful, metaphysical, robotic godly weapons with contrasting natures. The weapon made to defend reality vs the weapon made to deny it. The weapon made to destroy its creator vs the weapon made to ascend them to godhood. One brought into being by thought, one thought itself out of being.

Connections:

• The strongest, ultimate weapons of an extremely advanced race (The Dwemer and the Monitors)
• Among these races, one of their most intelligent and skilled members (High Chief Kagrenac and Dax Novu) would realise the current nature of their race could not continue (Kagrenac wishes to transcend the Dwemer to godhood, Dax Novu wanted to stop the Monitors feeding on reality). They would go onto create the Numidium and Thought Robot respectively.
• They're most prominently known for an ability allowing them to manipulate the fabric of reality (The Numidium's World Refusals allowing it to refute objects, concepts and gods out of existence. The Thought Robot is aware of of the story around him, and can even interact with the comic borders as if they were any object)
• Their existence is defined by a fundamental idea about the 'fiction' of their world (The Numidium is based on the Dwemer's nihilism and belief in reality as an illusion, while the Thought Robot is based on the 'story' of the DC world)
• While appearing as merely powerful automatons, they fundamentally uphold and embody part of their reality (The Numidium is a Tower, one of 7 metaphysical objects that uphold the Aurbis. The Thought Robot is half of the Overvoid)
• They would hold contrasting positions in an apocalyptic, ambitious (and extremely weird) story (C0DA and Final Crisis). The Numidium fought to deny all of reality, the Thought Robot fought to protect it. In this event they would fight mirror images of themselves in origin (The Numidium fought Akulakhan, the Second Numidium. The Thought Robot fought Mandrakk, its counterpart and creator)
• They would end up destroying their own creators (Upon activitation of the Numidium, Kagrenac and the Dwemer were denied out of existence. The Thought Robot fought Mandrakk and won)
