Yes the badass ninja women/mothers kickin some ass! I love hon - the B/W effect, the movement, the ancient style design. I wish Kishi would give us some more of this. I was just saying to Noldien that as cool as the manga battles are now they are too male heavy. Ps just on the latter stages of the MadaMito I promised

This was really an interesting piece to work, because of the fight set up... like I said you before, I need to practice fight poses and stuff... but I still want to draw a properly fight scene lol
I couldn't have said it better! Right now we have a battlefield filled with legends and almost all the relevant characters are there... Interesting, but females are severely outnumbered here, I can't remember anyone worth mentioning... Perhaps Sakura? I don't really think any female will be in the center of attentions so soon... I wonder how Kishi will deal with all the more "random" people of the alliance from now on, most likely they will be ignored
At least we will got some Mei and Tsunade badassery soon in the anime... I enjoy it, even if they will end up not so good

I particularly like Midori's fight pose in motion. You are really brave on tackling these kind of action shots - I know how challenging they can be, because my imagination is always beyond what I can do with pen and ink but to try despite the frustration is the way to get better and I really envy you your drawings.
But please continue as I am really interested by your headcanon here and I love the thought of Akane having Wolf Sage Mode as some of the other comments discuss. The only slight thing I would say is Akane's expression, while great, could do with being more feral and vicious. I only say that as a tiny way to improve on what is an amazing picture.
Midori's clothes are my favourite - I love the Senju and I love the ferocity Akane has but Midori has that Uchiha elegance - she is a great balance to her 'rival' and again you have brought out the Yin Yang aspect that we and Kishi love to dwell on. Dear, I could talk about these ladies and Naruto forever with you. There's a whole story you have inspired your watchers with here.
I wish Kishi would think more like you and write some fighting women in his story. I think he's actually mentioned he finds writing women difficult (practise Kishi!). I'm not sure why as Konan, Tsunade and Mei are great, and even the younger girls have their moments. I think he gets held back by stereotypes. I wish he would realise that it's liberating for boys as well as girls to see strong women and as we have already discussed, I think it would certainly bring out different aspects in the other characters like Madara, to deal with a feisty girl. I liked that line he said about Hinata a while back 'Naruto's power made that little girl quite strong' (smirk face) or something like that. He gets off on power so I'd love to see his reaction to a woman (coughMitocough) that could really go toe to toe with him

Ohho, I know, Akane is really supposed to be a feral wolf! I wish I could do her justice, in my mind she appears so perfectly... well, I really need to practice this kind of character, it seems I'm always drawing the more stoic ones...
I love serious characters, but even more when they can have a twisted sometimes, like Madara, and go berserk 
But thank you on helping me with Akane's expression, I'm just so noob with this kind of scene

As much as I love Akane, Midori is definitely my favorite (how couldn't it be? she is my Maddy's mom 
Hohohohoh, I do have that same thought as you... Mito could be like, the perfect example of a powerful girl to draw Madara's attention. As much as I know his character, I'm sure he would be impressed by a daring strong woman that defies him in every aspect... oh, wow it would be so interesting, I definitely think it would be

BTW²: I'm not sure why is Kishi afraid of writing powerful girls... they don't even need to be physically brute to be strong in his universe, considering the nature of their powers... so he doesn't need to fear masculizing them in the process. Is it because of the "hero saves helpless princess" thing? I don't see that being used often in his manga...

It's interesting when the drama makes normally bored or stoic characters react like you say with Madara, although Im still in too minds about the crazy smirk about Hash.
I don't think you are a noob - you are just trying things out. I love both ladies and I think the fighting poses you are doing get better and better - I can't wait for more! I want to do a Kyuubi Mito vs Madara with him being turned on by it. I know its cheeky for me to say but given what we just spoke about with that Hinata panel, his fights with Hashi and the 5 Kage and his reaction to Naruto's strength, I think he just loves a decent challenge and I know Mito would give him one hehe
Grr Overuse of damsel in distress mode!!! Thats one of my main gripes! It's like a guy can't be strong unless he saves a girl and so the girl has to be weakened for him to do that - Tsunade, Kushina, Sakura (more times than I can count), Hinata, Tenten, Konan, even Mei and damnit she is one of the strongest ninja. I wouldn't mind it if it wasn't so often the woman as I know the guys get saved too but its just not in the same way.

I know right? Since the old times I had that feeling, but now it is totally proven, that Madara is a true warlord.. his place is on the battlefield
But dear, your idea isn't far fetched, it is indeed perfect! I can see him being turned up by a kyuubified-overpower-Mito
About that crazy smile, I have mixed feelings.. as weird as it may seem, the gorgeous debut episode of Madara made me come into better terms with it.. like we discussed before. (I mean, to imagine what a challenge Hashirama must be since Madara is bored even fighting a hundred shinobi, or even the five kages
Yeah, it is exactly the damsel in distress syndrome.. It is like the girls can be poerful and fight on their own, but sometimes they need to be "nerfed" to serve a purpose.. I think I've underestimate this power in the narutoverse, but it is really present and is often used as a plot device to explain romance and stuff.. like in MinaKushi a fine example.

You know I would pay to see that fight between Mito and Madara - it would be amazing!
Grr I was disappointed by MinaKushi to be honest as much as I love them and the Road to Ninja was even worse - she was downed by spot of poison! She could have been an awesome character but again the only way in shounen guys can prove their power and love is to 'save' the woman they like. It would have been great to see Hinata actually save Naruto from Pain just to see a reversal.
I know people defend Kishi and say the girls do help and do their bit but its never in the same way or to the same level as the guys hence you don't get interesting moments like Madara meeting his female match. Don't get me wrong I love the male rivalry and all but some balance would be good and more varied and I dislike how it encourages sexism and hatred against women amongst the younger fandom. I've seen the most stupid comments on forum like 'chakra is partly based on physical strength and men are stronger so of course they are more powerful.' This about a show based on magical ninja who regularly defy the laws of physics and Kishi's own rules whenever the plot demands it...
