Follow Firefly Path costuming & make-up on Facebook -Β www.facebook.com/FireflyPathAs a gift, a father commissioned us to make an Elsa-inspired prom gown for his daughter~ He asked that we include her favorite color, purple, throughout the design. We included it in her cape, the gradient on her sleeves, and lace along the neckline. I love how the skirt sparkles through her cape!

I agree here at least in the case of the cape. I like the more subtle purple accents like the lace and the flowers (and the nails). The dark cape just seems too drastic though. Maybe if it wasn't so bold/dark it wouldn't bother me so much or maybe if the dress itself was more of a blue color instead of a teal/turquoise color it'd work.
And before anyone jumps on me, yes, I read the description. I know the commissioner wanted purple in it I just personally don't like the dark cape. Furthermore, I'm not at all insulting this or saying it isn't beautiful or amazing because it most certainly is both of those things!

Oh wow, that looks absolutely gorgeous! I love how much detail you put into it and how the colors in the sleeves and cape fade into purple. I'm sure she'll love it!
