I’d like to believe Max is holding a camera obscura (Latin for the ‘dark room’).

This was painted in the time of my life when my mind was still a storm and I was figuring myself out. It's about an older me comforting a shell of my childhood self. I had to look even deeper to find who I really was. The real me, at the time, was still stuck inside the camera obscura.
