Everywhere I step there's paper beneath my feet.Hundreds of thoughts scribbled down in notebooks
only to be torn out and cast onto the ground
but I can't forget them.
I've got help planned out on my calendar
hoping they'll sort out my thoughts for me
and clear up the letters on the floor
but I don't think it will work.
every letter I've sent
says "Return to Sender"
I'll hold on to them
like some unnatural hoarder.
And I can't take these notes anymore
I have to clear the floor so I can stop tripping
over every single goddamn hestitating word
but I just don't know how
every single letter I wrote
never really reached you
I'll keep re-writing them
so they can become perfect.

timidly I finally sent you my letter
finding that the little things are also nice
and enjoyed talking about your day
and the feeling is good
The letters have started clearing up
I can almost see the floor again
and my heart is healing just the same
even if only bit by bit
every single letter i send
starts to reach you again
I'll keep writing them
and keep all of your replies
And now the truth comes rushing out
it spills out your mouth and cascades
into me and i cant help but let go too
suddenly my room is clear
every single thought I wrote down
finally has reached you
I'll write this last note to myself
and leave this room with you by my side.
