We are halfway through the of Folk and Fable Tarot Kickstarter, which means we get to share our full cards!
One of my two cards was the 7 of Earth/Pentacles, which is a minor arcana card focused on hard work, long-term goals, and investment. For this card, I illustrated the corn wolves--a descendant of the German feldgeister that came with German immigrants to the American Midwest. The corn wolves are used to warn off children from wandering into the dense cornfields, for fear of being snatched away and eaten. This card specifically aims to capture the duality of the harvest, the work and payoff of an investment tied to the warning that it may take as much, if not more, than it gives.
We've already hit full funding and all the stretch goals, and we still have until July 6, 2023.
