"I noticed you've been awake for three weeks straight. Might I accompany you this night, little snowflake?"

OKAY- So I saw the name of the dta for a split second and I just had to!
Also also, I'm more than definitely keeping the concept I used for this drawing to myself- In other words, whether I win the dta or not, I'm creating an oc to play with this idea! (Of course, anyone can play with this idea too, I'm just really enthusiastic about what I can do,,)

Anyway, behind the scenes time!
To be honest, I actually completely misread 'Pink Blue Yellow' for cyan magenta and yellow! I think its because I saw the colours first before I saw the name,,
At some point I made the connection of the colours with static, and I couldn't help but draw the poltergeist climbing out of a tv that showed only static!
One thing lead to another, and I came up with a whole dimension filled with static which some can traverse through using the screens as a portal to the place they want to go too! I'd add more but that's all I had for now,,
Towards the end, SAI actually crashed on me,, I thankfully didn't loose a lot of progress (I just lost the pattern of the wall and some bubbles) but at least it reminded me to constantly save my work!

As for the background, it's full of lotsa references!
The wallpaper was actually based off a dream I had of an escape the room game! I actually just remembered the dream a day or so ago, so I went ahead and used the wallpaper there as a way to remember it better.
The sofa was just to fill in the blank space. HOWEVER, the pillow on top of it isn't! See the circular pattern on it? It's actually morse code for the word 'deprive'! I like to think it's a neat little reference to how this poltergeist (or some other character,,) is summoned whenever someone has sleep deprivation. No worries though! They actually try to help make the experience more bearable, playing games and providing company to their summoner!
The picture frames actually depict scenarios during the summer event and the summoning event respectively! They were actually drawn in this drawing, so I can't really share a clearer version right now,,
As for the flag, plushie and candles, I'm pretty sure the reference are obvious enough! (At least, I hope they are,,)

Anyway, I had a lot of fun playing with ideas for this project! Also, it might take some time but, I hope I find time to share more detailed ideas on this little concept at some point too!

Oh and- Before I forget- props to my friends who helped me figure out how to draw the static part! I had a lot of trouble imagining how it looks like so I wanted to credit em,,
