You hadn't ever expected this. When you signed up for the project with the local science facility they had told you nothing could go wrong. (f/n) had told you not do go for it, even though you needed the money. That it wasn't worth it. You really should have listened to them.

You walked slowly down the path. Your (h/c) hair blowing faintly in the light breeze. You had no idea where you were or when you were for that matter. The area didn't seem very modern with the dirt trails. But what you really needed was a town. It had been hours since you had breakfast.

So caught up in your own thoughts you had been, you never noticed the stranger rushing up to you from behind. He brushed past quickly, knocking into your shoulder and sending you on to your rear.

The man, it had to be, stopped running as soon as he realized what he had done. His white clothes rustled as he walked back to you.

"Mi scusi, bella. Are you alright?" His tenor voice sounded above you. Your (e/c) eyes looked up to see his rather attractive face and an arm stretched out to help you up.

You took the hand and were quickly pulled up. "I'm fine thanks. This may seem weird but where am I?"

The man looked at you quizically. "You are just outside of Firenze, bella. Are you sure you are okay?"

Firenze. You were in Italy. You should have known given the man's accent. "Thank you ugh..." You rubbed your head awkwardly.

"Ezio. My name is Ezio Auditore da Firenze. And you are, bella?" He smirked at you. His golden eyes sparkled, making him seem devilishly handsome.

"Ugh... (y/n). (y/n) (l/n). It's a pleasure to meet you Ezio." You blushed a light pink. He seemed used to that reaction. A loud rustle and some shouting behind you drew both of your attentions.

"Scusi nuovo, (y/n)." Once again he grabbed your hand again and pulled you along the path. You could hear whatever it was after him getting closer. You mind was spinning with thoughts. What the hell was going on? Who were these people? Why were you still going with this strange, handsome man?

"Assassino! Get him!" They were getting closer. You could finally hear them clearly.

Assassin? What am I getting into? You thought to yourself. You glanced at Ezio, still pulling you along. What choice did you really have?

"What a freaking plot twist this is!?" You shouted as you picked up your pace. Somehow, you knew your were going to regret getting involved in this.
