For Halloween I shall post fanart of my favorite Horror videogames; Little nightmares! These tiny children are trapped in a apocalyptic/dystopian world filled with monsters. Creepily enough the "Nowhere" (the world they are trapped in) has eerie similarities with the real world they came from. But even though it is the children who are in mortal danger, it seems the world around them bend to their imagination and even sometimes their will. The environment shows hints at the sad/terrible lives the kids might have lived before arriving. However at end of their journey the real nightmare is revealed.
I love little nightmares for it's themes and philosophy. The franchise spans to more than just the main games. From comics, audio books to an app game, makes this a very fleshed out world. And to build up even more hype (which worked) an audio podcast was released on youtube; the sounds of nightmares. It explains the world and why everything happens to a certain extent.
This piece shows the different protagonists from game one to three. It's supposed to look like a mirror, showing a glimpse of each child. However Low has the ability to travel through mirrors, which is shown here. Will this ability let them escape this nightmarish world or will they fail and turn into the little nightmares like their predecessors? Until the games release we have to keep dreaming.
