After his death to Firestorm his soul and energy were trapped on earth to be discovered by Princess Transsel to be used to create a robot which is designed with demon power's. But instead she created a shell for metholus to use and control to defeat firestorm once and for all.

He's not actually a cyborg he got nickname that by thunderstorm. Also when making this character months ago he was inspired by megatron from the new transformers movies which now makes him look like a tank which was intended.
