Description
If you want to see more Doctor Who carvings, here's my website .These pieces come from my latest batch of Gallifreyan Disks. I wanted to give them a style and sheen that would blend in just about anywhere within the Tardis. What you see here is a mixture of paper clay (fired to stoneware temperatures), iron oxide, underglazes and Rub N' Buff. I'm quite happy with them, however I want to try to bring out more of the underglazing in the next batch.
Comprised largely of circles, intersecting lines and quasi-mathematical imagery, it is instantly recognisable for any Whovian. While this image is my own interpretation of Gallifreyan, I like to think it is painted on the TARDIS somewhere and translates to: "In case of emergency please do not use swimming pool". This piece is about the size of your hand, keeping in mind that you always get some shrinkage in the drying and firing processes.
If you want to know how I carve this and others pieces, please view my Youtube tutorials .

I am not a whovian, so I do not really get the references, but you don't need to in order to appreciate these, as they're aesthetically pleasing on their own. Well done.
