BREAKDOWN
Altruistic -
Winter is the sort of feline who puts others before herself, even at a young age. Her benevolence is definitely one of her best traits, and she hates seeing other cats in pain. She genuinely cares about the well-being of those around her, and can't bring herself to feel happy while others are upset.
Gentle -
This she-cat has a very docile nature, and isn't the sort to get any satisfaction from a situation that calls for combat. She is both physically and emotionally gentle, and always seems to be speaking in soft and quiet tones. Very rarely does Winter raise her voice, and she tries to be very soft when initiating contact with other felines.
Honest -
Even if she wanted to, Winter probably couldn't lie to save her life. She has a habit of wearing all of her emotions of her face, and reads like an open book. But because of that, it can make it easier for others to see the sincerity in her words and actions. No need to be good at lying if you've got nothing to hide, right? Due to her honest personality, she has a hard time understanding the Nettle-Locked Society based on what she has heard from her Elders around camp... part of her hopes that the adults are just exaggerating their secretive nature.
Trusting -
Winter's trusting personality can be both a blessing and a curse. It often borders on being naive, making her quite gullible and easy to take advantage of; she still has so much to learn about the real world and the unreliability of strangers. It does, however, make it easier for her to feel at ease relying on others. She is quick to give trust in the hopes that she will get some in return, and if her loyalty is ever betrayed, Winter is quick to forgive. If you give her an apology, she will instantly trust that you mean it.
Sensitive -
One of her more negative traits is that Winter can be very sensitive, and honestly, a major cry-baby. She cares a great deal what others think of her, and isn't very good at handling criticism of her character. She's not very well-equipped to deal with mean words, and as she grows older this kitty really needs to develop a tougher skin. She can also be quite sensitive to the pain of others, and even though it can be good to be empathetic, sometimes she needs a healthy dose of apathy and to mind her own business a little.
Dependent -
Isolation is one of Winter's biggest fears, and because of it she is very dependent on others being around. She can be pretty clingy, and gets quite nervous when she is alone or put in a position where she needs to rely on her own abilities to get by. Being so young, it makes sense that she's frightened by the prospect of acting without the watchful gaze of her parents, but it's hard to tell if she'll ever grow out of being so needy.
Submissive -
Winter is a meek little push-over in every way, and lacks confidence and conviction in her actions. She prefers following instructions and rules as opposed to blazing her own path, and definitely isn't brave or courageous. She doesn't view unpredictability as a good thing, and tends to just keep her head down and simply do what's expected of her. Honestly, this trait makes Winter pretty spineless, and she would let another cat walk all over her without even considering standing up for herself.

HISTORY
Prologue: Pre-Group History
Winter and her sister Blackbird were born in summer of the year 024, the flowers around them blooming prettily as warm sunlight filtered down through the canopy of the Order's camp. The leaves of the Nursery rustled gently with each passing breeze, and the soothing sound worked as a lullaby for the two sisters as they blindly snuggled against their mother's flank. Like any pair of newborns, they alternated between sleeping, eating and crying - not the most exhilarating of beginnings, but regardless, their proud Templar parents watched in awe and tried to imagine what sort of felines they would become. Winter was clearly the larger and stronger of the two, inheriting her mother's stocky build and thick fur while Blackbird was lithe and small - even for a kitten. Lillian and Flintfur weren't initially concerned with their second daughter's tiny stature; litters had runts all the time, right? But the smaller sister's mewling was also riddled with coughs, and it became harder for the parents to swallow their worries, often expressing their concerns to the Order's Healers. During particularly bad fits, Winter would snuggle closer and the sisters would ride it out together... this seemed to set the pace for their friendship, and from the moment the kits started to make sense of the world around them, they were inseparable.
As they grew older, Blackbird's cough didn't go away. The pair would run and play around camp just like any other pair of kits, but it never seemed to be long before Blackbird needed to stop for a rest and catch her breath. Despite the persisting ailment, the small dark she-cat never appeared to be bitter; whenever she needed a break, Winter always sat nearby and waited for her. Playing games and chasing the Elder's tails wasn't as fun without her sibling anyway, so as far as Winter was concerned, the breaks were a small price to pay. She grew to have quite a nurturing nature, and would always stick close to Blackbird whenever their parents weren't around to keep an eye on them. Family was something Winter found to be very important to her, even as she began to befriend some of the other kits around camp and spent more time chasing the Fablers to hear their stories. She was a friendly and sociable kit, but would drop whatever she was doing to scamper over to her sister at the sound of even a hiccup. Even as a baby, Winter was a great listener, and didn't mind passing up opportunities to get into trouble with the other kids in favour of laying with her sibling when she was having a particularly rough day.
But rough days started turning into rough weeks, and their parents could do nothing but watch in horror when the season changed to autumn and the frost brought illness with it. Blackbird caught a cold, and her already weak lungs began to cripple under the strain. She was bedridden in the Healer's den, but Winter clung to her side without second thought of getting sick herself. Winter had grown to become quite dependent on her sister, and wasn't the sort of feline who was very good at being independent or taking charge. It was always Blackbird who was the bravest of the two, and even though Winter was the one with all of the physical strength, she had often found herself taking her sister's lead up until this point. Now, she didn't know what to do without her, and would end up sitting quietly at the den's entrance when the Healers would shoo her out. During this time, Winter started spending a lot of time watching. She watched the Healers deal out herbs and bandages with deft paws, always seeming to know what to do or say to help you feel better - regardless as to whether the wound was internal or external. Winter was so young that she didn't really understand much of what was going on, but that didn't make it any less fascinating. The Healers were like heroes to her, and she'd stare after them with wide eyes and whine to her parents that she wanted to stay longer when Lillian started trying to coax her daughter back into the nursery.
It was in the nighttime that Blackbird finally passed, and Winter was still in a state of disbelief when they laid flowers down for her by The Pit the next morning. She placed purple ones; the two sisters had always agreed that purple was the prettiest.
For the first time, Winter was without a sibling, and she wasn't really sure what to do with herself at first. The grief never went away, but it became easier to manage with some time. Lillian became engrossed in her Templar duties, whereas Flintfur started spending more time listening to Fabler stories to keep his mind off of their recent loss. They each had their own way of coping with the grief, and even though it was clear that they were hurting, the two parents still made sure to spend plenty of time with Winter. Thankfully, after the initial shock, Winter came around better than most would've anticipated. Instead of becoming withdrawn and jaded by her sister's death, the opposite happened. Winter started trying to be a better listener and friend for the cats around her, looking out for them even if they didn't ask her to. She couldn't be a big sister to Blackbird anymore, and she seemed to be filling that void with other kits she had grown to know. Winter had become especially protective of smaller she-cats, and as she begins to meet new faces, she will probably need to be reminded frequently not to hover so much!
But some things didn't quite change, and when she wasn't clinging to her denmates, the most common place to find Winter was peering into the Healer's den... even if seeing Blackbird's empty nest there came with an ache. Their medicinal work was no less fascinating to her, even though her attention was starting to become divided among all of the cool things a kit could explore around camp. Winter was rapidly approaching the age of her Apprenticeship, and she was excited to experience the world in a whole new way. She wanted to make it count - especially since she knew Blackbird would give her an awful smacking in the afterlife if she spent all of her time bumming in her nest. So, Winter went back to chasing the Elder's tails and trying to catch butterflies and flowers around camp. She was still just a child, and even though her sister's passing was a sore spot that she was awfully young to have to endure, she wasn't going to let it slow her down. She was kept busy with other worries among the guild, too: their leader had gone missing. Noticing the rising anxiety of the felines around her, Winter anticipated the day of her Apprenticeship even more - she wanted to help!
She's never been a determined sort of feline, but nevertheless, Winter is eager to learn whatever her future mentor will have to teach her, and has a long way to go before she can call herself one of the Order's True Folk.

Thanks a bunch! C:
And awh I'm honoured that somebody would like her enough to wanna draw her :') she exists in a certain universe and story though, so I'm super okay with folks just drawing character art of her and stuff but unless they're in the BTF group I'd prefer she isn't included in any other original stories if you know what I mean haha<3
