that scene in the final act really showed that even the mightiest of demons can have feelings for the humans. and sesshomaru really does love rin (as a daughter of course) just like his father loved izayoi. so much for supreame conquest eh sesshy?

For me, I don't see Sesshomaru and Rin's relation as "father-daughter" thing. I see that Rin is a very valuable person that Sesshomaru deeply cares, protects and shows emotions. Just because of the age difference it doesn't mean itβs a "father-daughter" relationship. Sesshomaru is like Rin's guardian and she feels safe around him

*Sigh* This part in the manga made me cry (both with sadness and joy), but Sesshomaru found room in his heart for a little mortal girl. It's so sweet how she's like a daughter to him! Thank you for illustrating this.

Not overtly like he does in this chapter of the manga. But he will always rescue/protect her. And Jaken makes constant comments like, "If I let anything happen to Rin, Lord Sesshomaru will kill me!!"

When they first met Sesshomaru was injured very badly and couldn't move. Rin brought him food and water and tried to help him, even though he told her to go away and leave him alone. She ends up getting killed by Koga's wolves, and he finds her body and uses his sword to bring her back to life. But that was all waaaay before the chapter this picture is from.
