Description
As Emma's head continued to descend, its suction created a small void where her head now resided. Gradually, tiny particles of mud began to infiltrate this void. Emma shut her eyes just before the mud swiftly enveloped them, leaving only her snout and nose exposed above the muddy swamp.
Her brown hair, smeared with mud, fanned out on the bog's surface as her snout gradually and inexorably sank beneath the mire. In her final moments of submersion, Emma emitted one last terrified sound. With that, she disappeared entirely beneath the swirling, turbulent quagmire.
