Bio:
Kauri trained side-by-side with Ice Fire and Picea when they were cubs. He was always the most powerful of the group, and commonly abused his strength while mock-fighting with the other cubs. In the moons that followed, his strength and integrity won him many close battles with the dire wolves that threatened his clan's safety. However, ambitious as Kauri was to protect his clan, he always thought of himself first. It had been that way since cubhood. He was always the first to pick from the kill pile, the first to speak in a clan meeting, and the first to announce his clanmates' flaws.... And like any other cub, he wished to be the leader of the clan one day.

When the day of Shatter Scar's passing came, Kauri knew that this would finally be his chance to seize the glory of leadership.... Or so he thought. Before passing into the realm of the Ancestors, Shatter Scar's final wish was that Ice Fire be named the new leader of the clan. He did not make his reasons clear, but the she-cat was well known for her strategic-thinking during the hunting season.

Needless to say, Kauri was enraged at the former leader's decision. He thought that the old fleabag had lost his mind in not choosing him as his successor. However, despite his anger, Kauri remained loyal to his clan thoughout Ice Fire's leadership... but he was always hard on the new leader's paws, testing her every decision.

...And there's my little preview of what's to come in the prequel to "Of Swords and Claws." Hope you like the little blurb I wrote for Kauri and the deviation. Soon, I'll be making another poll so that you can help me vote on the title for the prequel series. I'm down to two titles, but I would like some help deciding which title to choose.
