Paz has never been poofed throughout the entirety of her existence. She's been through quite an adventurous life by herself and with her crew , but all in all, she always narrowly escapes a bad fate. Though recently, since discovering the truth about Pink Diamond, she's decided to retire an obvious Diamond insignia and instead change her form to something she considers to be battle ready yet relaxing. There wasn't anything wrong with her old form, but she'll stick to this new form because it represents her new life with her friends.
