So I'm doing the Pokedex challenge until the November 21st release of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire and here's entry #1 ! When looking at all the normal types, I was not pleased with my options because I've never liked normal type. But for nostalgia's sake, I looked at Meowth and Persian and couldn't help but want to paint Persian. It's design is simple, but scary and sleek, not to mention its temper is famous for bad reasons. I've personally never used Persian in-game, but I'm tempted to now to see how good of a fighter it would be. I was being a little experimental with the way I painted this one, and am not completely pleased with how the pile of golden coins turned out. I wanted to make the Persian look regal, so I went for a more faded look and thought the royal blue was the perfect touch for the background; definitely added the depth the picture needed.

I apologize for the quality of the image; the scanners at school eat up the light colors so I decided to take a picture of it.

Materials used: Watercolors and ink
Time taken: 3 hours

NOTE: Once I'm done with the challenge, I'm going to put all of the pictures together and offer them to sell.
