been having some art block lately, so i felt like drawing curtis again was a good solution to that... kinda remembering how much i loved him when i first designed him back in late 2019. not the best at drawing chairs still but i guess it's fine

since curtis' redesign i've really been changing a fair amount about his character as well, and i'm really glad that i've decided fairly recently that he's not going to be a villain anymore. for a while i kept adding more sympathetic traits to him, and... well, realized he'd work better as more of a protagonist. he's still sort of an anti-hero, though

given that his species (the aye-aye) is well-known for their long/bony fingers, i was specifically trying to go for that while still keeping things relatively close to humanoid proportions. most of the times i've drawn curtis, he was wearing latex gloves, so here's him without the gloves for once
