Description
In the future, humanity stumbles upon the remains of an ancient alien civilization that utilized advanced, micro-level, bio-mechanical technology, which humanity recovered and eventually made their own. This resulted in a race of techno-organic shapeshifters called Technoshifters, and humans could become Technoshifters by being implanted at the base of the skull with a biomechanical device designed to quickly spread throughout the body and transform it from within upon activation. After enough people underwent the procedure, however, it was discovered that later generations began displaying the same traits and abilities at birth, but in a more natural form, quickly rendering implantation obsolete. Their technology is also biomechanical at a microscopic level, since Technoshifters make most constructs from their bodies, like guns, armor and personal vehicles. Other constructs, like buildings, mechs and larger transports are grown, buildings being no more intelligent than plants while mechs and large transports are as smart as animals.
