Description
So yeah, while working on the sprites, I made stats for each playable character for if Shantae were to take part in a classic, turn-based RPG experience. I made 14 playable characters for the scenario. Yep. 14. Now, let me run down the stats.
Base Stats: These stats are rated from 1 star to 5 stars, with 3 being average. Every character has 24 stars, with the exceptions of Zapple, Harmony, and Dawn. Zapple and Harmony have 25 stars while Dawn has 27. But yeah, you gets the point. IMO, this would probably be how each star rating would go.:
1 Star: 5/6x normal stats
2 Stars: 11/12x normal stats
3 Stars: Normal Stats
4 Stars: 9/8x normal stats
5 Stars: 5/4x normal stats
HP: Obviously, right?
MP: Mana, of course. Obviously, right?
STR: Strength. This is used for physical attacks.
DEF: Defense. This is used for defending against physical attacks.
MAG: Magic. This is kinda obvious if you've ever played an RPG before.
WIL: Willpower. This is used for defending against magical attacks.
DEX: Dexterity. This is normally used for agility ratings in games like Final Fantasy.
LUK: Luck. An inexperienced RPG newbie would probably have no clue what luck is. A more experienced one would see luck as something that either affects the chance of inflicting status effects or the chance of landing critical hits (or both).
Elemental Affinities: These are used as a rating of how well a character is able to use certain elements. These are dictated by levels, as shown by the bars. A Level 3 fire user can use Firaga, but not Flare/Firaja. A Level 4 fire user, on the other hand, can use Flare/Firaja, yet not Supernova, which requires Level 5 fire magic. There are 11 elements in all: fire, ice, thunder, earth, wind, nature, poison/bio, water, mind, holy, and dark.
Anyway, first up is Shantae, who is purely an all-rounder, which makes sense for her as she has consistently shown herself to be an all-rounder throughout the series, either whipping her hair and levitating pike balls, or torching and zapping foes, or transforming by shaking her hips. Here, Shantae is basically an all-rounder in both base stats and elemental affinities.
