A Cutie Mark Chronicle

Rumble: "How did you guys get your Cutie Marks?"

Thunderlane: "It was the day Rainbow Dash first did a Sonic Rainboom..."

Flash Sentry: "Knock it off! That's not what happened. There was a terrible thunder storm over Cloudsdale..."

The Past...

Thunderlane: "Hey Flash, check it out. Somepony is out in the storm."

Flash Sentry: "That idiot! They're going to get fried. Come on!"

Thunderlane: "Wait, where are we going?"

Flash Sentry: "We have to help them!"

*Without a pause Flash Sentry flew out the window and Thunderlane got ready to follow.*

Thunderlane: "We don't HAVE to help them, you know."

*As Thunderlane made his way outside he was hit by powerful winds, stinging rain seemed to be coming from all directions. Ahead he could see Flash trying to make it towards the disoriented filly, lightning and thunder bursting all around her.*

Thunderlane: "He'll never make it in time. Why do I have to do everything?"

*With a burst of speed Thunderlane zoomed past Flash Sentry and grabbed hold of the confused little pony. Just in time as a lightning bolt sliced past them, the intense light and sound temporarily blinded Thunderlane. Flash caught up and guided him as together they raced the filly back to the safety of their house.*

Filly: "Let me go! I don't need your help!"

Thunderlane: "Hey, we just saved your life. How about a little gratitude kid?"

Filly: "My name's not kid. It's Lightning Dust."

The Present...

Flash Sentry: "In all the excitement we didn't even realize we both had earned our Cutie Marks. Thunderlane got his because he can outrun a storm."

Thunderlane: "Flash got his because he always has to help everypony."

Rumble: "But what happened with Lightning Dust?"

Flash Sentry: "That's a whole other story."
