You're doing just fine! When I first came to this site I was confused too. It took me a couple days to figure out the little icon... I kept uploading it as a jpeg not a GIF and didn't know why it wouldn't upload. Finally someone gave me some help! But keep up the work, soon you'll be making some bad ass shit!

ummm did you listen to my last comment? To enable avatars, go to the settings button (at the top of the screen.) In settings there will be a space that says "deviant picture" and a [browse] button next to it. Click browse and call up the avatar picture (like this one) on your hard drive then click okay and scroll down until you see the "save settings button" click it. If you have any further problems, go to my userpage and note me (or click the 'note' link in my signature)
