Really looks great. Just one quibble - if the sails are being full by a wind from astern, the the pennants at the tops of the masts should be blowing the other way, as should the smoke from the fire at the stern.

I remember when Space:1889 was a proposal for a wargame in the late 70's and early 80's and created quite a controversy, and then was finally developed. Neat to see your work, and love it.
