Hokay, so I gotta run but I'll come back and submit the newest chapter and reply to messages and stuff soon, but before that I'll leave you guys with this cover.

I tried drawing Vaati (dying... whoops
) and lying on his back while reaching up to the sky - the pose was kind of hard to draw - I had trouble making it obvious that he was on the ground. Oh well. I'm still proud of that bloody hand Vaati (c) Nintendo

Ahhh thank you! This was probably one of my favorite scenes to write in Rend (idk why but I probably like sad scenes too much haha. One day I'll write more happy scenes).

hmmmHMMMMM that's a tough one. I usually end up listening to a bunch of sad instrumentals on youtube. There was one time I cried over a long distance relationship song (not in English though) where the lyrics talked about how the two people never met again, but that was also because it was relevant to my situation...
But yeah I usually just go to youtube and search for 'sad instrumentals' because I obviously need to feel more sad (no really i just need a certain mood to write certain things

Poor Vaati goes through a lot of tough stuff, probably more so in Rend than in the original story that started my whole fanfic career. I feel bad writing about him in such awful situations, but sometimes to get to the good parts, bad things must happen

That isn't a good preview! Well, not the art, it's great, No question! Only - it's the content. 
For the pose problem: You could add some shadow around his silhouette lines. (Kyaaaargh! My English!

Hmmm, maybe I'll try that. (erk I erased the original from my computer though so editing it without layers would be a pain DX)

But you could copy/paste the pic and make it a layer above the background. Then you could erase the parts you don't need and paint the shadow onto the background. (For a bit less work, you could just cut out what you need and then paint the shadow behind that. I'm not working with photoshop but I had some lessons at school. I know some basics and I can combine knowledge. So I hope my humble self could help.

Hmmm, I guess that could work. I can notch down the opacity so the other shading's still intact and then put it above the other layer.
Maybe worth a shot when I have time.

the hilarious thing is, I love bloody pictures like this, I always DRAW bloody pictures like this, but the second I see loads of blood/gore in a film I just have to turn my face away (I can't stand it haha) god knows what I'd be like if I saw this amount of blood in real life xfiohgioghjgiof

I can't stand real gore (or even fake gore in movies), but I'm totally okay with drawing it, reading about it, writing about it, and playing videogames about it (well... sometimes).

I remember once in class we had to watch a thriller, there was this totally gross bit and I hid under my blazer which TOTALLY SHATTERED THE MYSTERIOUS LONER thing I had going on, now everyone from that class teases me whenever a slightest bit of blood comes up ANYWHERE xD I CAN handle blood but gore....no. Just no.
