I miss lying beneath the sky,Feet on a log
Pillow beneath my head
Being shared with my best friend
Watching the stars move across the sky.
I miss being able to run around,
Feet pumping
Legs swinging
Chasing after my friends
Real and imaginary.
I miss the carefree joys of youth
Laughing loudly
Passing notes
Sighing softly with thoughts of boys
Dreaming of Prince Charming.
But most of all
I miss my innocence.
Days of simple fun
Nights with my stuffed lion
Not knowing how hard the real world is
Living in a protected sphere
Filled with joy, light and laughter.

I like the contrast between that football and the background, it fits very good together. Nice coloring too (especially because you used a blue frame too).

Great shot, great message. I like how the soccerball glows in some areas as it is being overtaken by dust and dirt... being forgotten.

Very rarely does the image and the description merge together so well!

I think It would be better, if you did'nt make the ball blue!.. Pure Grayscale is a powerful tool, and You kinda ruined it here... :-/
But then, I'm not sure if the main piece is the poem, or the picture..
Try and submit the picture un-edited, I'm sure that will be more popular.
