Colour. Ugh. What a drag.

I need to clarify something. I previously stated that ~Dagath had not provided a description for his character. This is not strictly true (actually it's an outright lie). He had a very specific idea of what Dante looked like, so specific in fact that it was almost impossible to describe:
"A sort of chainmail thingie- wossname- a coif, like that, and his maul is shaped like a dragon's head."
"Well," said I, "draw me a picture before I get to making the first strip and I will make it so; otherwise he'll be a featureless white outline."

Of course you know what happened next. It wasn't until some way into the campaign that Tom did finally complete his detailed pencil drawing of Dante, and some time after that before I saw an opportunity to work it in. This is the end result. Should I keep him, or go back to the almost-iconic outline? I will let my readership decide.

In other news, my one-strip-a-week goal has failed; fortunately for me the next couple strips are only going to be one row, or at most two. I finished the first two rows of this page early, and thought about just slapping them up, but in the end I decided to finish it properly. If the deadline has passed, what's another day or two?

I suppose it's pointless to say we made short work of the spiders.
