Very basic layout, just for practice. My themes of choice were sci-fi, space, and retro pixel art. Fun fact: I invented the second design's font on the fly! Heck, maybe I'll make a full font set for it; I really like how it turned out.
Honestly I had way more fun with our UI unit than I thought I would. Might have to consider getting a gig in that area. Professional UI artists are still crazy under-appreciated and overworked, especially in the game industry. UI design can really make or break a game/app/website's entire user experience, so appreciate good UI and font design wherever you can!!
