So I've been tinkering with Inkarnate lately, and so far this is my output. This map is inspired from various campfire scenes where the protagonist is ambushed by several enemies, but with my frustration with other free maps for roll20 I avoided chekhov's gun.

Tent, a campfire, and a few things you'd find in the woods. This should reduce players clinging to things that are nothing more than artistic liberty. Feel free to add additional details, roll20 already has quite a few decorations for you to place.

As for the three ways, there is a lower road that a pack of orcs could ambush the players from, there is also the main road, and the side passage to the right. This allows you to surprise the players or even roll dice to determine where the enemies come from, unless this is for a story based scene, where the players are the ones ambushing.... Oh and I've even placed some trees for cover, its strange how flexible a forest is for a setting.
