Description Take a step back in time. Take a step forward to uncertainty. Bodies press close, noses rub dear. A hand so strong touches her cheek; eyes seek unspoken words. Searching for an answer that hides in the shadow of her tears. Oh how she longed for so long, that that hand might touch her; might stroke her cheek. Bodies press closer, lips brush tenderly. A moment of wondering and hesitation lingers. This isn’t right, I know this isn’t right. Eyes seek more unspoken words. Oh that she might press those lips of grace. Closer. Heartbeat racing; pounding. He feels; he hears her heart straining; her breathe becoming shorter, intensity rising. Just one kiss. Tenderness, gentleness, all in one kiss. Strong arms hold her tighter, pull her closer. Never let me go. Never. Passion, hope, forgiveness, sadness, all in one kiss. Fingers seek his face, tracing all frowns, all smiles. Knowing every contour; knowing every detail by heart. Imagining his face as if her eyes were unlocked. No. No! Lips part, a breath of air passes between them. What has become of her? Once again she has betrayed her vow. “Don’t stop.” Panicking, face buried away. Away from his pleading gaze. Fingers on her chin willing her to look into the crystals that light his face. So blue, so full of hope, of love? No, this isn’t right. Please. She tears her eyes away. Seeking anything but his gaze. “It isn’t right.” Please don’t look at me like that. Oh that I might have just one more kiss. “Is anything?”
