Description
This is my first experiment with taking a photographed object and recreating it in Photoshop, in my own particular style. It is composed of several shape layers and numerous applications of blending effects. My goal was to come close to photorealism, with some artistic eye. The end result is something that almost looks rendered, but not quite. I like it. I hope someone else does, too. Done in PS7, taking about 4-6 hours. (broken up between several days)Related content

I'd like to see a photorealistic version on a brown table with a window behind it as it's snowing outside and midday with green light cast a bit on the table or on a sheet of paper on the table
