This one was a real blast to create
Originally done as a pencil sketch on A3 cartridge paper, I then scanned it into the ol' PC and painted it up 100% in photoshop.From Wikipedia:
Odin (Old Norse Óðinn) is considered the chief god in Norse mythology and Norse paganism, like the Anglo-Saxon Woden it is descended from Proto-Germanic *Wōđinaz or *Wōđanaz.
His name is related to óðr, meaning "mind", "excitation," "fury" or "poetry," and his role, like many of the Norse pantheon, is complex: he is a god of wisdom, war, battle and death. He is also attested as being a god of magic, poetry, prophecy, victory and the hunt.

Do you know the metal band called blackguard? They have a t-shirt with a viking that looks exactly as this one. The only difference is that he got two beer pints in the hands.

i really like how you did this picture. he just looks so simple, you would expect some great god like Odin to look insanely awe-inspiring and overly epic but the simple beard eye patch and helm really work out
