ok so ! lesson on vampire anatomy with Talehot;

History: Vampires are derived from a disease carried in bats, which results in several genetic mutations (eye color, ears, feet, appetite for blood, etc), but it's only effective in the next generation, & it's a dominant allele. Example, Mary is bitten by a bat, but she won't develop the gene; her child will when they're born. Maturity is reached at around 18 years, or when the brain is fully developed. Then, aging is slowed down so much that it's almost nonexistent.

Looks: Vampires can mostly blend with humans, though they have a few key differences;
Height: they're usually tall
Skin: Most have a darker pigment, because the light pigment of skin in sunlight often leads to a variety of diseases often resulting in death. So, pale vampires are rare, and don't come out into the sun.
Claws: Vampires tend to have long, elongated fingers and toes, as well as "claws" on their toes for traction while running.
Eyes: Although the myth that blood consumption colors the eyes red, this is a common myth. Eye color can match any human's, as well as have other colors such as orange and yellow. Also, most vampires have horizontally slitted eyes. You can tell when a vampire is hungry/hasn't fed as of late because their eyes will be a dull, flat color.
Teeth: When a vampire smells blood, a gland under their nose will swell with blood, causing their "fangs" to be pushed out of the roof of their mouth so it sits behind their regular teeth in order to tear into flesh. This process is speculated to be painless, and is nicknamed "Dropping".

Diet: Vampires feed on blood. It can be human or animal, though many say that human will taste better. The process of getting the blood is often painful for the victim, as vampires can't make tiny holes with their teeth. They tear a chunk of flesh off and drink the blood as it gushes out. Many civilized vampires will take a trip to the blood bank to satisfy their thirst, but wild ones will attack any hiker that strays too far from the trail.

Special Talents: Vampires have a more sophisticated physical fitness level than humans. As well as having a jaw that can crush as well as a tiger (PSI: 1050), their elongated legs and claws help them run about 30.78 mph on average, which is about 3.0 mph than the fastest runner on record. Their vision and hearing are significantly more precise than a cat's, making them deadly predators.

uhhh ok i think that's it, this is (obviously) my oc Talehot, who im gonna say is around 19 yrs old physically, though in reality lets say hes,,, uhhhhhh hmmm 45.
