I'm not sure how much I can comment on the technique itself since your vectors are pretty much show accurate to the point of being frightening. That said I like the idea of the piece, lil' Twilight needlessly dressing up for her first day as Celestia's apprentice and being utterly sincere about it to the point of rotting out my teeth. Celestia chucklingly at Twilight's adorable antics was a nice touch too.
