Dear god flash back to my first day of Kindergarten! Everyone else was in jeans,runners and tshirts and there I was in the most expensive dress my dad's Military Pay Check could buy looking like I belonged more in a Pageant then at the first day of Kindergarten.

The first kinderclass of the first day of school? Outdoor Gym Class! YAY right? I had no change of clothes so I had to sit on the bench and watch the other girls play on the equipment while I picked at my stupid dress.

We had payphones outside the school so I stuck my hand in my dress pocket and pulled out a couple of quarters and called grandma saying 'Grammy, I have clothes at your house for when I stay over, can you bring me: Runners,a ball cap,my bat,glove,cleats, a pair of shorts and a tshirt. Mom's got me frilled out and I'm too hot and itchy.' Twenty minutes later Grammy and I were in the bathroom removing the pins from my hair and the dress was put back under plastic, off came the tights,on went socks then a pair of shorts and a pair of runners then a sleeveless shirt and my ball cap on my head. All of mom's hard work to make me look like a lady were for naught. I managed to get out in time for the class game of base ball. Mom came by at lunch and was horrified to find me dirty and scuffed up screaming about the dress she's put on me that morning.
