This is from an upcoming series with a theme of portraits and insects.

The idea behind it is to explore common negative emotions such as anxiety or depression. The expression of these emotions will not be visible through the characters expression, as traditionally common, but through exterior visual motifs acting as an extension of the characters subconscious. The figures themselves are not aimed to represent specific people. Instead I aim at creating an “anonymous” narrative where the viewer can project their own image onto the characters and relate their own emotions to the piece. Each piece was created with usually one or more emotions and states in mind, but I aimed in making the artwork flexible in its interpretation, allowing each individual to analyze in what way do they personally relate to the piece, and what emotions do they see in it.
