This is my first ever attmpt at something like this and I think it is going to be the style I will stick to in the future, I spent a good few hours on this piece and I am quite pleased with it, I never thought I could achieve something like this only using photoshop and a couple of photos, but I have! Its not perfect but oh well... anyway I would like advice if you are willing to give it, so please fire away and comment lots!!! maybe a few favs?

oh..WOW. This is pretty awesome.
However, the sun doesn't look quite real. I don't know how to give you critique, 'cause I can't create planets. XD

nice texturing and colours.........i dont particularly like the look of the sun though.........to me it doesnt look as real or visually stunning as the earth.....

The "Earth" is a tad unrealistic, try to use different, smaller textures next time.

One suggestion....you might want to use a gradient set to "Liner Dodge" for your sun. Other than that, fantastic job.

I like it, it has sort of a 'fantasy space' feel to it, with how you can see the landscape shapes, I like it, it's a nice effect and a take on what you can see from the space. I particularly like the colour values, the earth halo and the sunlight reflected off the earth's surface like the lakes (water mass) that there seems to be. It seems quite correct in my opinion, and also creates that the surface has a nice misty, foggy feel to it, like the layers of cloud that cover things. Overall it has got a nice texture to it, nice composition and those were some good hours well spent in Photoshop. Nicely done!

too unrealistic. how you could see any landscape detail on the space? it should be cwhite clouds, etc... i think that's the other planet right?? the rest is good, not really like with your font selection and the border which usually is used for photograph. but it doesnt matter anyway...

thankfully not everyone takes a factual view over this piece.... This piece has artistic licence, if i wanted it to be just like space i would have spent more time on it.
