I was watching "The Wizard of Oz" on TV. It was the scene where the witch appears in the woods and throws fire at the Scarecrow. The opening shot had ravens on a hill in the foreground, and I said to myself, when's the last time I drew a raven?Well, really, I just wanted to paint something for my (then new) friend Mike.
