Some time ago, Muffet tried to recruit Papyrus for her plans, which he initially declined, but later sent her a letter about.
But who can blame him for changing his mind? a lot has happened since the first conversation...
They must meet in secret, after all, they are both putting their position in society on the line here. Perhaps they both want peace, but neither find it easy to trust the other, as much as they both need help if they wish to change the status quo- which they both happen to benefit from to some degree. They both hold status and the power that comes with it, after all. Can they trust the other to potentially give up on such status? What if the plan fails? Who will take the fall?
