“I meant what I said to both of you”Could he lie through his teeth even more? I don’t think so
I looked him straight in the face; I felt the tears behind my words.
“So it’s ‘when’ your going to be with her again, is it? Not ‘if but when’ right?”
He stood there eyes shut, that shut him up, he hadn’t know she had told me that.
“I will tell you when its going to be, since you don’t know. When is now cause baby I wont be a choice, I will be the only option for some one, even if it isn’t you.”
And my heart tore into a million pieces. I turned to walk away, my heart beat drumming in my ears. I wouldn’t make it to the stop sign before it hit me.
“Wait… please?”
I stopped, not turning, for the first tear had already fallen, and I’d be damned… He sure as hell wasn’t going to get to see me cry, not tonight, not this time.
“I want to say thank you, you are my best friend, and the only one who supports me in this.”
I nodded, looked down, and then back at him, eyes gleaming with tears.
“I don’t support your decision, but I do support you, you are my best friend, and no one will change that.”
“Agreed. I love you.”
I nodded, turned and walked away; I got to the door and whispered I love you too.
