Description
Whew, it's been a while... Here's the mane 6 singing at the end of the leaked Crystal Pony songSo I used something new on this vector!! The nightly builds of Inkscape have a feature called Power Stroke, which is their equivalent to the line width tool in Illustrator. This is awesome, cause you can now vary the width in your stroke, or taper them at the ends, without having to convert it to a path!! Unfortunately, this means in order to open the svg file you need to have the development version of Inkscape installed (but it's a good excuse to try it out and see some of the new features). So I only used Power Strokes on Fluttershy, Twilight, Pinkie, and Rarity's mouths and a couple of legs, but I may end up trying to use it for a complete vector in the future
Anyhow, feel free to critique and hope you like it!! Svg can be found here (requires Inkscape nightly build): [link]
If you do use this (or any of my other artwork), please let me know so I can check out what you make with it!

No nightly builds available for Mac! Gah! I'm going to have to do something about that...

Oh no! If you can build it from source, I would highly recommend it There's so much that's been fixed... Nested clipping works now and layers are actually usable
Also, rendering time has been pretty much cut in half! It's still somewhat unstable, but totally worth taking a look at

I'm definitely going to look into that...do you know if building from source for Mac still requires the X11 environment though? That's another thing I'm trying to escape, because switching between CMD and CTRL is a little jarring. I don't suppose they have folders for layers yet either?

Hmm, I run on Linux, so I'm not so sure if it requires X11... There's no layer folders, but sublayering has been vastly improved so that it's basically like folders (you can nest layers within layers and move them around and stuff ).

Well, sublayering is good at least. I'll see what I can do!
