Description
We had to create a self portrait collage in my 2D class without using our faces or bodies. All the photos had to then be desaturated and color was added on top. The colors had to have a relationship, so I used a primary triad (cyan, magenta and yellow).

I had a ridiculously hard time coming up with anything for this, so I'm actually pretty pleased with how this one turned out. I was so lost in the beginning, trying to plan something out. So I did what works for me: started messing around. I put things together randomly and this is what evolved.

It's about my creative process, actually. Creating something takes your mind, your heart and your hands. That's why those are all magenta and connected. I'm influenced by what surrounds me and what I have inside me naturally. The bird (the creation) is a combination of what surrounds me (literature/other people's work) and what's internal (nature/my own ideas).
