Funny story, when I first got into MLP:FIM, I created a pony OC like anyone would. Her color scheme was exactly the same as Shiru, pale blue coat, darker blue mane and sky blue eyes. So when I wanted to create animatronic OC, of course I took the colors from that since I loved them so much. So, I like foxes. I wanted to make a fox animatronic, but later it hit me, the colors wouldn't fit a red fox. So...arctic fox was my answer. It's perfect, ain't it? Oh yea, as a little nod to the fact that most of animatronic OCs are recolors, I gave Shiru most of Mangle's patterns, except for the tail and no "nail polish". I also changed her cheek fur to make her stand out a little bit, but the hair, I couldn't come up with anything, and this style really has stuck on Shiru. And...glasses. Because I wear glasses in real life and Shiru is basically me as an animatronic. Instead of...super powerful animatronic who kills guards every single night to prove that she is the most powerful animatronic with magical god-like powers...and other bad OC-sterotypes...
