Well there is places in the mountains that got snow all year around so I guess I could say it is winter all year around.
Been winter all this year so far, snow everywhere where I live and currently snowing some more.

I been around the world and seen many beautiful places including lot of places in Norway.
Got an old place on the west coast that I use mostly during summer as the location is hard to travel in winter time.

Is about 8 hours car drive there so not a weekend trip.
Skiing is optional but if you visit here sometime during winter someone most likely gonna ask to join a ski trip.
I do cross country as I not a big fan of steep hills and fast speed on ski.
Relaxing and maybe do a pit stop to eat a snack before I head home.
Latest years I not been much skiing, I admit. My American lady is dragging me to all kinds of other crazy stuff.
Mostly I hike during summer time without ski.

Well I ain't a fast "ski walker", but yeah is faster than walking without, especially on snow.
As I mostly keep myself on the flat areas with very little hills is not that dangerous.
Well you could say it is dangerous as you could say eating popcorn is dangerous.

Then there are these crazy "sports" people or those that think them can do anything without getting hurt.
Them go way up on the steepest hills in the mountains with their fancy expensive equipment and rush down faster than lightning.
Then there are off course downhill skiing, slalom, speed skiing and stuff like that but I keep away from them.
When I was younger I used to do that also but from early twenties I liked more calm places.
Also after a terrible work accident (long story) I can't actually run around as much as I used to.
