Description
The current HUD in Frontlines--in my opinion--is missing some key elements, and some elements that are already in the HUD could be improved and moved around a bit. So here's my two-sense on how this could go in the form of a visual and several points:- The scoreboard is made visible by default so that I don't have to press TAB all the time just to see how many points each team has.
- The radar works, but it sometimes throws me off because dead enemies/team mates still show up as a dot instead of something like an X or a skull. Those who appear as rings are too high or too low relative to your current altitude (y).
- Something I wish FPS games like COD would do more as they've done with Black Ops 3 and Black Ops Cold War is to have a health bar somewhere to show how much HP I have because I simply just can't tell if I'm 1HP or 70HP from death from an overlay alone (yeah thanks, skill-based damage and hitreg). Name plate is optional, but I added it because why not.
- Frontlines has to be if not the rarest game to have an XP bar at the bottom, which I think should only show when you press TAB to show the leaderboard, but I guess it's fine like this as well. Nothing changes here, really.
- A kill feed would be nice so that way I can snag every multi-feed I can to get people to spread misinformation about me "cheating" and getting me (shadow)banned for the skill issues people have.Β That and also keep track of who kills who in case of cheaters, speaking of.
- The chat could be moved elsewhere from the bottom left corner (where the health bar and kill feed are both located) to somewhere on the right. This element will only be visible for a few seconds whenever a new message is sent or the element is focused by pressing slash [/]. After those few seconds, the chat will hide itself.
This HUD is not (and WON'T be guaranteed to be) official, so don't expect to see any form of this HUD in Frontlines (I am not a dev or a contributor for the game).
