Made with iOS IbisPaint, speed draw hereΒ youtu.be/Acl76Ph72Gk?t=19010th century AD. Arguably the most famous Byzantine guard unit, the 'Emperor's Winebags'. Gear is probably a bit too heavy here, a lamellar cuirass over a mail hauberk. Guardsmen probably would've worn one or the other into battle, not both.
