Description

The Magnitudo is an old war veteran. Being the first ship of its class ever issued. It served in the ending years of the Horizon conflict, all the way up to the sundering war, when half of all Federated Territory was absorbed by the, back then, newly formed Coalition Treaty. Due to the magnitudo's armaments mainly consisting of laser batteries and no mass drivers, the vessel has gained the nickname amongst coalition officers, and other personnel alike, armed bucket. Such disrespect is not sympathysed with in the Federated Navy Corps however, and the ship has gained much respect over its years of service, and is still today a very reliable vessel for its age. After nearly half a century in conflict the vessels were being outfaced in favour of the newer, stronger, and more advanced, Excalibur class Battlecruiser, which would go on to serve in a much more peace preserving role, and even later, as a frontline vessel during the first Anfari Blitz.
