Description
Tenrecs are incredibly weird and cool animals. They look like shrews or hedgehogs, without being closely related to them. They have sensory hairs, or whiskers - not only on the face like every reasonable mammal, but also on the back. And some of their quills are specialized for stridulation, a high-pitched scratchy noise typical for crickets and other insects; no other mammal communicates in that way.
Butene, on the other hand, is so boring I can't find anything relevant about it. It's used for making plastics, mainly for water pipes in heating systems, and the tenrec doesn't give a heck about those; when it's cold, it simply hibernates.
