Murmel is probably the most reasonable character in Zugunruhe, not that there was much competition in this sense... She knows a lot, maybe way too much, and nothing ever surprises her. You can tell her anything and she'll understand, make you a cup of tea and let you talk. Don't expect her to say much in reply - she's pretty shy and quiet, and when she talks, you are lucky to understand half of the words. She speaks very fast, skips half of the letters and any effort to speak clearly only makes it worse. She can write it down, but most of the characters aren't that good at reading, and it also makes her look suspicious: where did she get all that education anyway? She's also the most colorful, in the literal sense, of the characters, and her eyes are green, which is an extremely rare color in the entire city - and, again, suspicious. And she has plants! Actual green plants, not all deformed and reddish from all the pollution and radiation. And rumors say she can speak to animals, that is, the non-anthropomorphic ones; in general, she's got a lot to explain. And she gladly would explain, if only anyone had enough patience to try and understand.
