That's a great portrait of the balrog. I'm also tired by this diablo-like demons inspired by the movies. Balrogs were creatures of shadow and flames, not heavy-bones demons. They were swift and quick, trully dangerous not flame-coated trolls.

very nice i like that this one is more humaniod than bestial gives him more of a menacing appearance and makes him look more intelligent somehow; like this isnt something thats gonna swing around a cudgel like a caveman trying to crush you and instead fight with some level of skill

See to me, this is what Sauron always looked like in my mind. He's not a big brute clad in armour, but he still towers over many and has a terrifying visage. Awesome work by the way!

This is very cool, the colours are perfect in this painting!

I think this is more accurate of how Balrogs are portrayed in The Silmarillion than in The Lord of the Rings. Either way this is going on my wall.

Very nice. I too am pretty tired of all the horned and devil-ish looking Balrogs. Something this human looking is pretty cool.
